A tremendously entertaining action picture that delivers exactly what it promises: carefully crafted thrills and a disposable experience that demands little from the audience. Keanu Reeves stars as an L.A. cop who earns the enmity of mad bomber-extortionist Dennis Hopper when he foils one of his dastardly plots. Reeves triumph turns sour when Hopper returns with an even more audacious plan involving a city bus and a bomb. Sandra Bullock co-stars as a spunky passenger who winds up behind the wheel.
