It's about time this rugged, troublemaking island castaway got a juicy movie role. Josh Holloway, who plays Sawyer on ABC's mega-hit Lost, has been cast in the new Polish brothers' comedy, Stay Cool. The film is about an author who returns to his high school to deliver a commencement speech — and to confront his former crush. Holloway, says the Reporter, will play a former high school jock and ex-boyfriend to none other than Winona Ryder. Man Who Robbed Josh Holloway Gets 13 to 30 Years | Today's News: Our Take | 6/4/2008
Roben Royce, the now-23-year-old man who in the fall of 2005 robbed Lost star Josh Holloway and his wife at gunpoint, has been formally sentenced to 13 to 30 years in prison for his three-week "tidal wave of crime" (as the judge in Honolulu put it).In the early morning hours of Oct. 12, 2005, Royce broke into Holloway's home, threatening the actor and his wife at gunpoint. He took their wallets then drove off in their Mercedes-Benz, but was spotted and pulled over by Honolulu-area police a week later. Cheers to Lost's thrilling season finale for showing us Sawyer's best side (and no, I'm not talking about his backside). I've never been sure if Josh Holloway's ex-grifter was a good guy — until he jumped off the 'copter to save enough fuel for the Oceanic 6 to reach the freighter before it exploded. (Wouldn't it have saved more fuel if Hurley had jumped? Just asking.) Before he leaped, Sawyer asked Kate to make a promise (any guesses?), then planted a sweaty, stubbly kiss on her. The producers' motivation for Sawyer's selfless act wasn't entirely noble: It allowed them to shoot a scene of a shirtless Holloway swimming ashore. This show gets me every single time. I don’t know if I am in the minority on this or not, but I didn’t see the Kate/Aaron twist coming at all. I thought for sure that the baby was Sawyer’s and that Kate would walk into that bedroom and call him James. I gasped when she said Aaron—literally gasped! I thought that we would learn the reason that Kate decided to leave the island was because she lied to Sawyer about being pregnant and knew that the only way to save the baby (and herself) was to leave. I think it is safe to say that we can count Aaron as one of the Oceanic Six. So what does that leave us with, you ask? A boat-load (or rather, a freighter-load) of questions, as usual. And yet, instead of being completely frustrated, I am riveted.
